Welcome to the Partner Hub for the national Stop! Think Fraud campaign.
This is a public campaign, and we’re proud to deliver it with our partners. Your voices and networks make a real difference.
This page provides everything you need to support and amplify the campaign to help individuals and small businesses recognise fraud and take action to protect themselves.
Together, we can help people stay safe and make fraud prevention part of everyday life.
Campaign summary
Fraud affects millions of people every year—and anyone can be a victim. While we must continue to target the criminals behind fraud, we also know that one of the best ways to safeguard the public is to ensure they are well informed about how to protect themselves.
Stop! Think Fraud was developed by the Home Office, in partnership with the National Cyber Security Centre, City of London Police and the National Crime Agency, and in consultation with stakeholders across finance, banking, technology, telecoms, academia, policing and victim support groups.
The campaign focuses on authorised fraud where communications can interrupt the fraud journey and aims to:
- increase the number of people taking a moment to stop and think when they receive suspicious communications and check if an approach is genuine.
- increase the uptake of two-step verification among individuals and small businesses to keep their online accounts secure.
The ambition for Stop! Think Fraud is to simplify the communications landscape and give individuals and small business simple, actionable advice to protect themselves from fraud. By providing consistent advice, together we will increase the uptake of protective behaviours and reduce vulnerability to fraud.
